Delhi University (DU) is among the top universities in India that is known for its quality education and high admission standards. It’s cut off lists are something that gives nightmares to the students who want to pursue undergraduate or a postgraduate course from there. With the cut off percentage of Delhi University soaring high year-on- year, the students seeking admission there are already high on their stress levels.
Delhi University first cut- off list on June 23
However, previously DU scheduled declaring its first cut off list 2017 on June 20 but amid various events of delays, Delhi University has now decided to announce the first cut- off 2017 for the various undergraduate courses on the evening of June 23 so that the admission procedure can be started from the next day itself. After the announcement of first cut off list of 2017, the process for admission across all the colleges affiliated to Delhi University will begin from June 24 and will conclude on June 28.
Further admission procedure in colleges affiliated to DU
Once the students qualify the admission criteria as per the 2017 first cut off list, they can report to the college of their preference or allotment for the verification of documents and get the final approval of their admission. The approval for admission will be done online by making the payment of admission fee by logging into Delhi University’s official admission portal. The schedule for morning colleges will begin from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and evening colleges will be from 4 pm to 7 pm.
The last date to fill up the application form for various merit-based courses of DU was on June 12, 2017. This year, over 3 lakh applications were received for 54,000 seats of 60 undergraduate courses across 62 colleges. Although, Delhi University is yet to announce the entrance based undergraduate courses.
Schedule for further cut off lists of Delhi University
Those who will not be able to qualify the merit of DU in the first cut off will have to wait for the second cut off, which is scheduled to be announced on July 1, followed by third cut off on July 7, fourth cut off on July 13, 2017 and fifth cut off on July 18. Well, Delhi University will also announce the sixth cut off list based on the availability of vacant seats in particular undergraduate courses.
