Maruti Suzuki the country’s leading passenger car maker has updated its smart play infotainment system across all models. Maruti has introduced Google’s Android Auto feature in its smart play infotainment system. Features like Apple Car Play and Mirror Link were already available in the earlier versions of the system.
By updating the smart play infotainment system with Android Auto play, Maruti Suzuki has given the option to connect Android-based smartphones to the system. Users can connect their smartphones to the infotainment system and see all the applications like voice calling, SMS readout, voice recognition, music playback and navigation on the infotainment system.
Maruti Suzuki introduced the infotainment system in Ciaz but it came featured with Apple Car Play and Mirror link. The same system was later introduced in S-Cross, Baleno, Vitara Brezza and Ertiga. Most of the smartphone users in India have Android phones. Now Maruti has introduced the Android Auto feature in the system so that all Android phone users can connect their smartphones to the infotainment system.
Maruti Suzuki to Update the Existing Infotainment System Free
Earlier this year Maruti launched Ignis with Android Auto in its infotainment system. Before this update, the Android Auto feature was available in only in Maruti Ignis and the new model of Swift Dzire. The Android Auto feature is the most important feature for all the Maruti customers and most of them use Android phones. Maruti Suzuki told that the update will be done at all the Maruti service stations across the country free of cost till March 31. Customers can visit any of the Maruti Service stations and get their infotainment system updated with Android Auto.

Android Auto feature will let the Maruti Suzuki customers keep their attention on driving the car as they don’t need to operate their smartphone while driving. With Android Auto Maruti users will have access to songs and podcasts. Also, it will enable the users to access the internet, pick calls and reply to messages without using their smartphone.
One of the best things Maruti Suzuki offered its customers through Android Auto is the Google maps navigation. Users can find the routes and step by step directions to their destination location. If the navigation system detects heavy traffic on a route it will automatically find an alternative route. The Android Auto feature also supports text to speech recognition by which Maruti users can respond to messages or even ask questions to Google. If your car is not featured with voice recognition, you can access all the Android Auto features using your touchscreen.
