Tata Motors Reportedly Working on A Hyundai Creta Rival | Will Launch its SUV Soon

Tata Motors are reportedly working on a Hyundai Creta rival that will sit between the Nexon and the Hexa. SUV has been Tata’s forte and with the Indian customer’s new found love towards the segment, Tata will try to have one for each segment buyer. The sales of the Nexon are already strong and the premium Hexa too is driving steady sales for the company. But there is a huge price gap between the two and Tata intends to fill that with a Hyundai Creta rival.

Expected Features Of The New Hyundai Creta Rival by Tata

The Hyundai Creta rival reportedly in the works by Tata will have a more SUV like stance than the cars like the Renault Captur that sit in the same segment. Since the Nexon sits in  a lower segment competing against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport, the cars like Renault Duster, Captur, Nissan Terrano and Hyundai Creta have no direct rival by the home grown car manufacturer Tata.

To take on the aforementioned cars this new Tata SUV makes more sense than the Hexa which comes with a huge premium. Since Tata has come a long way in terms of features and specifications, the car will boast of premium goods and pieces to pitch it against the Hyundai Creta. It is expected to come with a 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto as well as automatic climate control and cruze control which are honestly a standard feature in the segment.

Price and Launch of the Hyundai Creta rival by Tata

The new Tata SUV which is still un-named will take on the Hyundai Creta and sit between the Tata Nexon and Hexa. Since the Nexon starts around 5.85 Lakh Rupees and the base variant of Hexa is priced at 11.72 Lakh Rupees, expect the new Tata SUV to get a price tag of 8-9 Lakhs.

The new car by Tata Motors is expected to be launched by the end of next year however there has been no timeline revealed by the company. At this price, the car will compete against the Renault Captur and Hyundai Creta facelift which has already been spied on Indian roads.
