Nissan, the Japanese auto giant has recently announced that it will increase the price of all its vehicles. Hike in the prices of Nissan four-wheelers will be across all its model line-up and will come into effect from January 2018. The price hike will be applicable to all the Nissan cars that are currently being sold in India. The Japanese car manufacturer has decided to increase the prices of its vehicles up to Rs. 15,000.
Nissan vehicles to cost more from January 2018
The car manufacturer has stated that it will be increasing the price of its vehicles from January 2018. The exact increased amount on all the vehicles has not been revealed yet but the automaker, Nissan has mentioned that the price will vary from model to model. The hike in price may also vary from state to state due to the difference in taxes.

Rise in manufacturing cost reason behind the price rise
According to the company spokesperson, the major reason behind the price rise is the increase in input and manufacturing costs. As per the report, the decision to hike prices of the vehicles will be implemented across all the Nissan vehicles that are currently being sold in India. The company has stated that the price rise will come into effect from the first of January 2018. The changed (hiked) pricing will help the automaker to optimize company’s manufacturing efficiencies in addition serving its customers across the country.
All Nissan vehicles including Micra, Sunny and Terrano to become costlier
Nissan offers several vehicles in the country. Nissan’s range of vehicles starts from the Nissan Micra (hatchback) and goes up to the likes of the Nissan GT-R sports car. The most selling vehicles in Nissan’s short line-up consists the Nissan Micra in the hatchback segment, Nissan Sunny in the sedan segment, and Nissan Terrano in the compact SUV segment.
It has also been reported that the affordable arm of Nissan – Datsun, has also announced to increase prices of its vehicles such as the Datsun GO, Datsun GO+ and Datsun redi-GO. Besides the price hike, the car manufacturer is also expected to introduce some new products in the current line up.
