PSTET is a selection process examination conducted by the State Council of Research & Training that is governed by the Department of the School Education, Punjab for teaching jobs across the state. There are two types of PSTET for the different level of teaching jobs. Eligibility criteria for candidates appearing for Punjab TET 2017
Those who wish to apply for the PSTET 2017, should qualify the further mentioned points to be eligible for teaching jobs in Punjab. For the candidates of PSTET I, they will eligible to write for the test only if their senior secondary or its equivalent is completed with minimum 50 percent marks. They should also hold either two-years diploma in elementary education or one year bachelor in Education. Those interested writing the PSTET II exam will be eligible for teaching jobs only if their graduation is completed with minimum marks of 50 percent. The PSTET II candidates should also hold Bachelor in Education of one year or Bachelor in Elementary Education of four years. Those with Bachelor of Elementary Education, B.El.Ed or Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed is also eligible to sit for the PSTET 2017.
