SSC Selection Post Exam on July 16, 2017 | Revised ‘EQ’ With Minimum Percentage Announced

SSC Selection Post Examination is nearing the corner with its scheduled date of conducting it on July 16, 2017. Just a few days prior to the examination being conducted, Staff Selection Commission which is the sole authority to conduct the most awaited SSC Selection Post exam in 2017 has revised the ‘Educational Qualification’. Revision of ‘EQ’ for the SSC Selection Post exam which consequently amended the Eligibility criteria for the candidates aspiring to appear for SSC Selection Post 2017 on July 16 this year must read the revised criteria before taking the exam.

The official notification released by the SSC regarding conducting the most sought after Selection Post examination in July 2017, some amendments have been introduced by the Commission regarding setting up of a minimum percentage in EQ to serve as an eligibility criteria for the SSC Selection Post. The candidates who are all set to appear for the ‘Computer Based Written Examination’ of SSC Selection Post exam of Graduate and above level whose Phase III is going to be held on July 16, 2017 , SSC has fixed minimum percentage criteria in EQ mentioned against the name of each post that too category wise.

SSC Selection Post 2017 : Minimum Percentage Criteria

There are various categories and posts for which the SSC Selection Post Recruitment Examination is being conducted in 2017. Here are the details and the gist of the notification for revised EQ for SSC Selection Post Exam 2017.

  1. Senior Technical Asst., Guided Lecturers, Documentation Asst., Asst. Chemist, Store Keeper, Cost Accountant, Senior Technical Asst.(Fisheries), Research Investigator, Asst. Research Officer, Asst. Field Officer, Asst. Archaeologist, Asst. Archaeologist (Chemist), Investigator SS Grade 1, Asst. Printing, Library& Information Asst.,  etc., these posts have no minimum percentage criteria.
  2. Tourist Information Officer for unreserved category to have min. 65% marks while no such criteria for reserved category for this post
  3. Junior Investigator for OBC category to have a min. of atleast 50% marks with no vacancy for UR category for this post
  4. Economics Technical Asst. must possess atleast 60% of marks in the UR category for SSC Selection Post 2017 exam

Details of 37 such more posts have been mentioned in the notification for SSC Selection Post exam in July 2017. Name of the posts along with the category number for which one aims to apply for the SSC Selection Post 2017 Examination have been mentioned against the revised EQ by setting minimum percentage of marks which are further bifurcated into various categories like UR, OBC etc. for which relaxation in criteria by some amount has been introduced for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories before appearing for the SSC Selection Post 2017 exam this year.
