Maruti Suzuki Swift is probably the most awaited car in the Indian market right now and sources tell us that it is all set to launch at the Auto Expo in Delhi. The compact sedan based on the Swift hatchback has been available in the Indian market for a while now and has recently become the most selling car in the country after replacing the Maruti Suzuki Alto. However, the news we bring to you today is that the waiting period of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift has gone up to almost 8 weeks even before the car is officially launched.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Production Moved To Gujrat
Maruti Suzuki Swift has been the most popular car in the country for more than a decade and there is no doubt that the third generation model will be selling like hot cakes too. However, if the dealerships are to be believed then one might have to wait for as long as two months to get their hands on the car after they place the booking. This has been the long-running problem with Maruti Suzuki cars like the Swift and the Dzire. They got so popular that their waiting period has sometimes touched the four-month period as well.
To avoid the issue, Maruti Suzuki has shifted the manufacturing process of the Swift to their Gujrat plant which currently manufactures the Nexa Baleno. Maruti Suzuki Swift is set to launch at the Auto Expo in Delhi and is rumoured to start at a price tag of 4.75 Lakhs in India. Like the Swift, the Dzire too had a long waiting period but Maruti Suzuki has ramped up the production of the car to 20,000 units a month which will bring the waiting period down to less than a month.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Will Come With An Automatic Option On Four Variants
The Maruti Suzuki Swift was a fun car to drive and made sense being the more practical car for the buyer but it always lacked in terms of features and now the company is all set to fix that. The third generation Swift comes loaded with features like Apple Carplay and Android auto on the infotainment display, ABS-EBD and Dual Airbags standard and LED projector headlamps.
The automatic Auto Gear Shift Gearbox will be offered on at least four variants of the car thus making it the more practical choice for the urban car buyer that spends more time in standstill traffic.
