After, OnePlus and Nokia, now Motorola has joined the Android 8.0 Oreo brigade. Lenovo owned Motorola has started rolling out the Android 8.0 update for its smartphone Moto X4. The update has been noticed by various Moto X4 users this week. Users reported that the Android Oreo update comes with the latest Dec 2017 Android security patch with improvement in stability.
Although the Motorola has not yet officially announced the Android 8.0 update, it does the line in with the timeline that Motorola presented earlier. The new Android Oreo update brings with it multiple changes and useful features like optimisation of apps, better battery management, notification channels and dots. The Android 8.0 Oreo update also carries the picture in picture support and Google Play protection.
Moto X4 Features and Specifications
Moto X4 is the improved version of Motorola’s X series phones. The smartphone was launched last month in India in two variants with Android 7.0 Nougat. It features a 5.2 inch full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Powered by 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC processor the phone is available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants.
Moto X4 features a dual camera setup with 12MP and 8MP camera sensors. The dual camera comes with dual LED flash, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and correlated colour temperature (CCT). The phone also features a 16 megapixel front camera that is capable of taking clear selfies even in low light conditions. The selfie shooter has a beautification mode for beautifying the selfie shots.
Moto X4 Available in 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants
The smartphone is available in two variants, one is 3GB RAM variant with 32GB inbuilt storage and another 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 2TB via micro SD card. Moto X4 is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery that comes with turbo charge support for fast charging. Motorola claims that the battery is capable of providing 6 hours of backup with 15 minutes of charge.
Regarding the price of Moto X4, the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs.20,999/- while the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs.22,999/-.
