RRB Recruitment 2018 | Reasons For Delay in Dates & Admit Card For CBT Exam of Group C & D Posts

RRB Recruitment 2018: In the month of February, Indian Railways started the biggest recruitment drive for the RRB Group D posts and RRB Group C posts. Railway Recruitment Board Invited online application from the candidates for the post of Group C posts (ALP & Technician) and Group D posts. There are 26502 vacancies for the Group C posts announced by the Railway Recruitment Control Board and 62,907 posts for the Group D.

The application process for the Group C and Group D posts in Indian Railways started in the month of February and ended on March 31st. The tentative dates for the Ist Stage CBT exam were scheduled for the month of April or May but now half of the May has passed and there is no official notification released by the Railway Recruitment Board regarding the Ist Stage CBT exam dates for the Group C and Group D posts in Railways.

RRB Recruitment 2018 – Delay in Admit Card & Ist Stage CBT Exam Dates

All candidates who have applied for the RRB Group C posts and RRB Group D posts are eagerly waiting for the Ist Stage CBT exam dates and Admit cards for the exam. The Railway Recruitment Board has not yet released any notification regarding the same.

Now, it is expected that the main reason behind the delay in the announcement of the Ist stage CBT exam for the Group C posts and Group D posts is the number of applications received by the Railway Recruitment Control Board.

The Board has received 2.37 crore applications for the 90,000 posts in Group C and Group D. The setting of examination centres for the RRB Group D exam and Group C is the second biggest thing. Earlier reports suggest that the RRB will conduct the Group C exam first because there are fewer applications received by the Board as compared to the application received for the Group D posts.

Earlier it was expected that by the end of December this year, Railway Recruitment Board will complete the first stage CBT exam, PST exam and Document verification. But it looks like, the process will take some more time.

Few media reports also suggest that the Railway Recruitment Control Board will conduct the Group C exam and Group D exam in the month of August and the admit cards for the same will be issued in the month of July. But there is no official confirmation from the side of Railway Recruitment Board.
