The resilience of a simple Punjabi guy to glorify the name of his native village led him to the path of phenomenal success. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu or Sidhu Moose Wala is how we better know him has conquered and is currently ruling the hearts of Punjabi music lovers with his record-breaking tracks one after the other. His career started when he wrote the lyrics of the song “License” which was sung by Ninja; “G Wagon” being the debut song of his singing career.
Before becoming a brand name, Sidhu Moosewala was Shubhdeep Singh who graduated from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana in 2016 and moved to Canada for higher studies where he released his first song “G Wagon”.
The change in his name can be attributed to the love for his village and his roots. Moosa village is in the Mansa district of Punjab and was back then, very underdeveloped with anyone hardly aware of its existence. Unaware of the fact that Moosa village is actually a birthplace of many glorified Army Officers, many of his peers would make fun of the then backward area, he belonged to. Disturbed, Shubhdeep was resolute to take his village along, where he goes. Consequently, the name of his village shines bright today with his escalating fame and is eventually, reaping the benefits of his success with fast-paced development.
