Vidya Balan starrer Bollywood movie Tumhari Sulu hit the theatres last Friday on November 17 and it made a rocking collection of over Rs 14.71 crore at the box office in mere 4 days. The movie songs, reprise version of Sridevis’s ‘Hawa Hawai’ and Guru Randhawa’s ‘Banja Tu Meri Rani’ have hit the Indian music chartbusters since its release in India.

The simple, suave and homely looking Soluchana aka Sulu who is always clad in saree, loosely done plait, and minimalistic make-up essays the lively, enthusiastic, energetic and high spirited self in Tumhari Sulu. She is such humorous character who enjoys being tongue-in-cheek with her husband when he suggests her two start their own venture and she replies with a no giving the reason that their partnership (pun intended) won’t last long attitude. Vidya Balan’s character in Tumhari Sulu doesn’t even shy away from flaunting her talent of winning two mobile phones, a pressure cooker and a flask in their residential society’s petty competition of best mother in lemon on teaspoon race.
However, Sulu’s life takes a U-turn when she lands up at a Radio station and attains the job of a Radio Jockey as ‘Saree Wali Bhabhi- The Midnight Show’. All goes well in Sulu’s life until her husband Ashok (Manav Kaul) finds that Sulu (Vidya Balan) is working as a Radio Jockey and their lives crumble. The movie is doing really well in cinema and has by far made 14.71 crores in four days as Tumhari Sulu’s box office collection.
