Chandigarh Extends CTU Bus Service to Mohali | Starts New Routes

Good News For Mohali People!

The CTU (Chandigarh Transport Undertaking) has started two new bus services for the benefit of Mohali people.The new bus services will operate from Chandigarh to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter-State Bus Terminal, Phase VI, and the court complex.

Existing Bus Service Route Extended

The existing bus service route has been extended to new ISBT. A new CTU officer said that a new bus service (213) has been started from Zirakpur to the new bus stand. The buses will be operating with a frequency of 35 minutes. The new bus service started by CTU (Chandigarh Transport Undertaking) will make it easy for the residents of Zirakpur to travel to ISBT as there wasn’t a direct bus from Zirakpur to ISBT earlier.

The New Bus Routes for Mohali

The new routes will also cover the Mohali railway station. Some of the new bus routes started are:

  • Bus route for sector 43 ISBT has also been started for the new court complex in Mohali
  • The bus will also be going to the new bus stand in Mohali. The bus will be operating with a frequency of 45 minutes
  • The buses will also be going till Landran, covering the new DC office.
  • The route of the existing bus number (32) has also been extended by the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking from Palsora to the new bus stand in Mohali.

The new bus services started by CTU are also an addition to the bus services which are run for the international airport.

The SAS Nagar has also planned to come up with the city bus service in Mohali. The approved budget of the same is Rs. 7.5 crore. The city bus service in Mohali will be having at least 12 routes.
