Chandigarh Electric Bus to Add Another Feather to City’s Cap | Check Details

Chandigarh on its way to becoming a smart city. CTU planned to run Electric Bus in Chandigarh on a trial basis. The Electric Bus manufactured by Goldstone Infratech in Chandigarh has completed 240 km on a single recharge. Chandigarh has always been one of the model cities of India. CTU came up with this initiative of  100% electric buses to introduce zero emission mode of transport in the city beautiful. Buses will be running consistently at a speed of 70-80 km per hour.

Chandigarh Smart city project has reached Chandigarh Transport Undertaking i.e. CTU. The transport company came up with electric buses which are run on a trial basis in the city. The Electric buses are being run on fixed routes between IT park, Devisa devi and ISBT 43. The administration has planned to come up with this initiative in order to reduce vehicular pollution levels by manifold.

Electric Bus in Chandigarh 

Chandigarh Administration has run 100% electric buses on trial basis to reduce pollution in the city. Electric Bus manufactured by Goldstone Infratech in Chandigarh has completed 240 km on single recharge of 12 hours. Chandigarh transport undertaking is running electric buses on trial run between ISBT-43, Mansa Devi and IT Park for 15 days. These electric buses are noise proof and have zero emission.

New Electric Bus Features

The new electric bus in the Chandigarh is 35 seater bus with front and rear air suspension offering a comfortable ride. Each bus can run up to 250km in a single recharge and buses can be recharged quickly in four hours due to its three phase chargers. The company has made tie ups with BYD auto limited which is worlds renowned electric vehicle brand. Buses have fire proof LFP batteries installed which ensures a longer life better power density and is the safest technology due to chemical and thermal stability.

The new electric buses being run on trial buses in the city are equipped to provide on board maps, navigation system and Wifi. Buses will be running consistently at a speed of 70-80 km per hour. The success of Electric buses launch would be another achievement for the city. These zero emission public transport system would provide the city with an added feature.
