Get ready to go to Goa – Shirdi direct from Chandigarh. No need to shuffle trains. Now you can easily reach Goa, Shirdi from Chandigarh via Train. IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has launched a special train for Goa – Shirdi Yatra.
Goa – Shirdi Train From Chandigarh, Packages, Price
Involving 11 coaches with around 800 seats, the new train to Goa-Shirdi will start its excursion from the city railway station on August 19. The tour package comprises of 12 day and 11 nights costing Rs 945 for every individual for each day. There is no non-stop flight or train to Goa from Chandigarh and the corresponding flight amongst Chandigarh and Goa costs between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 one-route, contingent upon the dates.
Other than Goa and Shirdi, the new train will take the travelers to Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga and Trayambakeshwar Jyotirlinga. The whole package will incorporate voyage by second sleeper class train, accommodation in non-AC quarters/lobbies, vegan nourishment (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), visit escort and security on trains and buses for going to touring spots.
IRCTC said in a statement that the passengers traveling in the train can upgrade their accommodation to any other kind of Hotels at the destination with an extra cost. It depends on the availability.

First Train from Chandigarh to GOA –Shirdi departs on August 19
First Train from Chandigarh to GOA –Shirdi will depart from the Chandigarh railway station on August 19 at sharp 8 am and it will reach Goa on August 21 morning. Passengers will visit GOA, stay in hotels. The train will come back to Chandigarh on August 27.
As there is no direct train or fight between Chandigarh and Goa so we planned this package for the Tricity residents. This is not only for youngsters but everyone will love to go on this trip. We expect a good response from Tri-City resident, Spokesperson of IRCTC Zonal Office Shubham Arya said.
Dakshin Bharat Yatra Train to start from October 4
For Tricity residents, IRCTC has also planned for another train, which will start on October 4. This is Dakshin Bharat Yatra train. This trip includes destinations like Thiruvananthapuram, Kanyakumari, Tiruchirappalli, Rameswaram, Madurai – Kovalam and Tirupati. The trip will be covered in 12 days.
Price of Dakshin Bharat Yatra
Dakshin Bharat Yatra will offer 12 days and 11-night package. The package will cost Rs.11,340 per person. The first train for Dakshin Bharat Yatra will start on October 4 at 7 am from Chandigarh Railway station.
