Chandigarh Administration loves to be in good news and this time it for the step taken by them to develop a mobile app for the residents of Chandigarh.
The mobile app which will be available on both Android as well as ios will cater all basic needs of the residents of Chandigarh. Users will be able to get basic information on consumer rights. All helpline numbers for various departments will be mentioned in the app. Apart from this a user will be able to lodge a complaint under “”Who can be complained” section.
This smart Chandigarh app has been developed by Food and Supplies department of Chandigarh Administration. The main moto behind the app is the promotion of “Jago Grahak Jago”.
The app includes various useful sections like – City news, Chandigarh Weather, Who can be complained?, Responsible Consumer, About Chandigarh, Consumer protection act and many more.
The first screen shots of the app have been published in Chandigarh Tribune dated 24th December. It has been said that the Chandigarh administration is gearing up to launch this app on the eve of New Year. This will be a great start to the year and maybe these small steps make Chandigarh the first smart city of India.
Apart from the mobile app, the Chandigarh Administration has also launched a booklet on consumer information. This booklet has been launched on 24th December 2014 which is known as National Consumer Day. Chandigarh Administration will be distributing this book free of cost in schools and market areas. Electronic copy of the booklet will soon be uploaded on the official portal of Chandigarh Govt. – www.chandigarh.gov.in
