Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has planned to develop housing societies in Sector 53 of Chandigarh. The open area in Sector 53 will be utilized to develop flats. As per the plan, Chandigarh Housing Board is all set to build societies with flats in Sector 53, Chandigarh. The new Housing Scheme will be launched at a bigger level in the city. The plan has been submitted for the approval to the Plan Approval Committee of the Estate Office. After the approval, Chandigarh Housing Board is expected to start the construction as soon as possible.
CHB flats in Sector 53
As of now Chandigarh Housing Board always used to construct one kind of houses in a society. But after the approval of the new plan, it will be for the first time that CHB will construct multiple category houses under one plan. Under the proposed scheme, CHB has planned to develop:
- 80 EWS flats
- 120 one-room flats
- 100 two-room flats
- 200 three-rooms flats approximately.
Although the cost of these flats has not been decided yet by the authorities. Once the plan will be approved by the Committee, then only cost and other amounts will be decided. With this new scheme, CHB is expecting that this will get more response than its earlier scheme that was launched in 2016.
Earlier in 2016, CHB has launched a housing scheme and had constructed 200 two-room flats. And in 2017, for the very first time CHB has come up with the scheme to build multiple category houses like 2 BHK, 3 BHK within one boundary. With the new idea of CHB, the expectations are also very high and we hope the construction work will be started in sector 53 soon.
