On a daily basis, CTU ply on over 75 routes in the tricity and the boarding period of each varies from 20 minutes to over one and a half hours. To deal with any problem of commutation via CTU, the French agency will also conduct a survey on these 75 CTU bus routes. Other than this, CTU is contemplating on buying 50 more buses to run locally within Chandigarh while 200 new buses will be bought to ply on the long route. Out of the 200 buses, 40 will be the luxury buses while 160 will be the ordinary ones.

The Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) buses are operational in Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Zirakpur and Kharar that carry 2 lakh passengers on a daily basis. The Chandigarh administration is trying to make better connectivity of transportation in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali via this project.

Well, let’s see, if this project gets fulfilled soon or not but the Chandigarh Administration now seems to be determined on making better connectivity of CTU buses across Tricity including Mohali and Panchkula.
