The Government colleges in Chandigarh might have the word “government” attached to their name but they are no less than top foreign universities. In an initiative taken by the Education Department of Chandigarh Administration, each lecture given by professor will be recorded. The recorded lectures will be made available to students in a digital format at the college library. Students will have the option to listen the lecture recording at computer lab in the college premises or to get the lecture recording issued for their home.
Government Colleges in Chandigarh with lecture recording facility:
Government colleges of Chandigarh already have smart classrooms and according to the plan a recorder will be installed in each classroom to record the lecture. This facility will be available at the following colleges in Chandigarh:
- Postgraduate Government College for Boys, Sector 11.
- Postgraduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11.
- Postgraduate Government College, Sector 42.
- Postgraduate Government College, Sector 46.
It was also stated that the education department authorities were in talks with the IT department so that each lecture would be made available on the respective college website, from where students may download the required lecture.
This step will help those students who miss a particular lecture due to some urgent work. They will now be able to listen all that happened in the classroom in their absence. This facility is not available in many colleges in India but some top most universities across the world have such facility. Chandigarh government colleges will surely be ranked among the top with such hi-tech facilities.
