Bad Weather Halts Air Connectivity Between Chandigarh & Kullu for Winter Season

As per the recent events, Air India has withdrawn the Kullu-Chandigarh Flights for two months on account of poor weather conditions. This action was undertaken due to the unfavorable weather conditions. Also, the time frame for no Kullu-Chandigarh flights was announced to be from 2nd December to 31st January. Although, the Kullu Air station manager also added that the flight will only resume in the last week of January if there will be any improvement in the weather conditions by then.

After the beginning of daily flights between Kullu and Chandigarh on 13th October, the flight has been quite promising. This flight schedule was for every day in the week excluding Sundays. The flight that was issued for this route features the 70-seater ATR-72 aircraft. The flight was operation since 13th October and is going to close from 2nd December for two months that is by the end of January.

Airfare for the Kullu-Chandigarh

The airfare for this new Air India Kullu-Chandigarh flight that was inaugurated on 5th October 2017 range between Rs. 3.600 to Rs. 18,000. The lowest fare for the Kullu-Chandigarh one-way flight is Rs. 3,600 whereas the highest charges laid on the same flight went up to Rs. 18,000 for a one-way trip. Also, after the inauguration on 5th October, it was stated that the fares will further be reduced once the flight will be included in the second version of the UDAN scheme.

This new 70 seater aircraft was allowed to ferry around the total of 30 passengers from Kullu because of the load stipulation on account of the short runway. The Flight that brought joy to many people now has been held down for two months due to bad weather condition. Now, the Kullu-Chandigarh flight will not take off until the last week of January.

Kullu-Chandigarh Flight Held for Two Months 

After the inauguration of the Kullu-Chandigarh daily flight on 5th October, the flight goes down for two months due to bad weather conditions. This flight is expected to begin again by the end of the January, but there is no specific information on this. Kullu-Chandigarh Air connectivity now held for two months because of bad weather.
