Even Chandigarh has slipped on Swacch Bharat Cleanest City List

Although known for its cleanliness, Chandigarh has been slipping down continuously on the cleanest city in India list under Swachh Survekshan Abhiyan. In the year 2017, the city was in the 11th position and gained a 3rd position in the year 2018. But unfortunately again in the recently Swacch Survekshan list, the rank of the city dipped to 20th position in the year 2019.
