Watching a movie at Elante Mall in Chandigarh has become costlier with effect from April 2016 as PVR has increased the ticket rates. The management of 8-screen multiplex PVR at Elante Chandigarh had requested Chandigarh Adminstration to allow them to increase the movie ticket rates. The administration gave a green signal to PVR Elante and the mall increased the movie ticket price with immidiate effect.
Elante was opened in Chandigarh during year 2013 and the movie ticket rates at PVR were same ever since. After 3 years, the PVR wanted to revise the ticket prices and they gave good reasons to the government as to why they want to increase the ticket price.
Why did PVR at Elante increase ticket price?
As per the reason stated by PVR authorities at Elante Mall, the prices have been increased due to various operational costs that have increased in this time of 3 years. Some of these costs include:
- Salary of employees
- Electricity
- Cost of running a show
- Air-conditioning
- Hall Maintainance
A slight increase in the per ticket rate at Elante will help PVR get into profits and ultimately serve its audience in a better way.
