Punjabi singer, Sharry Mann is now the new ambassador of Chandigarh’s Municipal Corporation (MC) who will promote the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan across the tricity. The UT administration has chosen Sharry Mann as their mascot of the cleanliness drive in Chandigarh as he is the youth icon and is very famous amongst the crowd through his Punjabi music.

Why Chandigarh MC signed Sharry Mann Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Ambassador
The reason why Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MC) has signed Sharry Mann as its Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan ambassador so that he could take the drive forward in the tricity. Sharry Mann who was in Chandigarh last week to perform in the Leisure Valley during the Carnival was announced the ambassador of the cleanliness drive by the Joint Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation.
During the event, Sharry Mann had also appealed to the people of Chandigarh to keep the city clean and to download the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan app MoHUA’app for availing the services and registering complaints regarding cleanliness in the tricity. The Swachhta app is made for the citizens to register their feedbacks and their suggestions to improve the drive and the services associated with the mission.

Not only this, during the event, Punjabi singer, Sharry Mann had recorded his audiovisual message for the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation to create and take the drive forward of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. This audio-visual of Sharry Mann will now be displayed at public places, social media, LED screens and in the form of advertisements at the cinema halls of Chandigarh. Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan is Government of India’s drive for cleanliness started by PM Narendra Modi. Chandigarh being on the planned and green cities of India, the administration wants the city to be clean, proving it to be true to its nickname, The City Beautiful.
