Chandigarh Woman Commits Suicide by Jumping From 11th Floor of Her Office Building in Mohali

Chandigarh, Mohali | A 32-year old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 11th floor of the TDI Business Centre located in Mohali. The woman has been identified as Honey Mohan who used to run an information technology consultant company in partnership with her husband. The victim had her office on the 3rd Floor of the same building, at 12:30 PM she came to the office and within 5 minutes she reached to the 11th floor and jumped off.

The security guard of the building saw the body drenched in the pool of blood, after which he raised the alarm and called the police. No suicide note has been found from the spot.

The Scenario

Honey used to run a IT consultant business in partnership with her husband, whose office is located on the 3rd floor of the TDI Business Centre> this building is near to the North Country Mall, Mohali. On the day of the incident, Honey entered the building at around 12:30 Pm after parking her car in the parking area. She simply went to the 11th floor of the building and jumped on the ground floor.

The couple was living in Sector 40 of Chandigarh with their 4-year-old daughter. And they started their company named as Signicent in 2012 and now it has 30 employees. To take care of her daughter one of them have to be at home. At the time of the incident, her husband was at home for the same.

Honey’s parents have been informed and they have reached the city from Panipat. On the other hand, Police has filed a case under the Section 174 of the CrPC.

Reason behind the suicide

In the initial stage, police found no suicide note from the spot. But according to the statement of her husband, Honey was depressed from past few months. Harit Mohan also revealed that to get rid of her depression, Honey was also getting treatment from a private doctor.
