Chandigarh to Get an Urban Park – Similar to London’s Hyde Park & Here’s What You Need to Know

UT administration is all set to develop Sector 17 as London’s Hyde Park. After the French architecture, the city beautiful is on the path to match up the London Hyde Park. UT administration will be finalising the company to hand over the work for the development of Hyde Park in Sector 17. Heart of the city- Chandigarh, Sector 17 will now have an Urban park on the similar lines of Hyde Park in London. UT Administration has taken the step to enhance the beauty of Sector 17 and attract the residents and tourists towards the place.

Chandigarh in the Path of London

Hyde Park, London is the largest of four Royal Parks of London that is located Central London. London’s Hyde Park is divided by the long water and serpentine. Hyde Park in London does not need any introduction for all the music lovers, as it held many large-scale music concerts in the 20th century that attract a huge crowd.

Chandigarh based Hyde Park will also be developed as similar to the London’s Hyde Park. It will be developed near to the football ground of Sector 17 in 9 acres empty land. The cost of the development of Hyde Park in Chandigarh will be around Rs. 9 crores. According to the official of UT administration, they will soon finalise the company for the same purpose and the work of the Urban park in Sector 17, Chandigarh will begin by the last week of May.

Looking forward to the decreasing of the crowd in Sector 17, UT administration has come up with few ideas and is all set to implement each one of them. To attract the tourists towards Sector 17, Chandigarh administration has come up with an Urban Park which will have-

  • Cycle tracks.
  • Food courts.
  • LED Lighting.
  • Parking.
  • Games for Children.
  • Walking track.

It was a much-awaited development for the people of Chandigarh, as the heart of the city was losing its charm. And as expected by the UT Administration, we hope that the city beautiful maintain its glittery and shines high always. A very appreciated step taken by the administration, let’s see how it will change the scenario of Sector 17 in Chandigarh.
