As per the report, the first direct Chandigarh-Bangkok flight will take off from Chandigarh in the second week of December. Precisely, it has been reported that the first Chandigarh-Bangkok flight will take off on December 11. Air India has announced its schedule for the Chandigarh-Bangkok flight after a stretched holdup. There were more than several reasons for the delay in the direct flight from Chandigarh to Bangkok. One of the reasons that has been mentioned in the report for the hold up in the flight schedule is due to the delay in new aircraft delivery to the operator- Air India.
Flight schedule of the first direct Chandigarh-Bangkok flight
The first direct Chandigarh-Bangkok flight will take off in the month of December on the 11th of the month. As per the report, Air India has already announced the schedule for the first direct flight from Chandigarh to Bangkok. It has been reported that the first flight would land at Chandigarh International Airport on December 11 and the flight is expected to land at the airport around 9.20 am. As per the schedule, the same flight would take off from the Chandigarh airport and depart for Bangkok at 2 pm (Indian local time). The direct flight from Chandigarh to Bangkok is expected to arrive in Bangkok at 8.15 pm.
The direct Chandigarh to Bangkok flight will operate on alternate days. As per Hindustan Times, the Chandigarh-Bangkok direct flight will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There will be one flight daily from the Chandigarh International Airport that will take off at 2 pm (Indian local time) and will reach the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at 8:15 pm (Bangkok local time).
The same Chandigarh-Bangkok direct flight will take off from Bangkok for Chandigarh the next day at 5:40 am (Bangkok local time) and will land at the Chandigarh international airport at 9:20 am (Indian local time).
Inaugural offers on the direct Chandigarh-Bangkok flight
After Chandigarh-Dubai and Chandigarh-Sharjah direct flights from Chandigarh international airport, the Chandigarh-Bangkok route will be the third international flight from Chandigarh. According to the report, the inaugural fare for the Chandigarh-Bangkok direct flight will be approximately Rs 22,000, for a round trip and the direct flight between Chandigarh and Bangkok would operate thrice a week. Furthermore, the prices may vary on the supply and demand of passengers at the time of booking the flight.
Seating and the airbus for the Chandigarh-Bangkok direct flight
A320 Neo will ply on the Chandigarh-Bangkok route from Chandigarh international airport. It has been reported that A320 Neo is Airbus’s latest variant and Air India will be operating on the mentioned Chandigarh-Bangkok route on this plane. In addition to 150 economy class seats, the Airbus A320 Neo to be operated by Air India on the Chandigarh-Bangkok route will also have 12 business class seats. The latest aircraft will offer additional leg space and better sitting arrangements in both the classes.
