Winter Schedule For Chandigarh Airport Is Out | Know the Changes Before You Plan Your Travel

The flight schedule of Chandigarh International Airport was revised today for the winter season. The flight schedule will remain unchanged now till the 17th of February, 2018. Due to increasing fog and mist in the region a lot of timings have been juggled around by the CHIAL authorities so that the weather conditions do not affect the flight schedule. The Chandigarh International Airport’s winter schedule will come into effect on the 3rd December, 2017.

The timings of a few flights operational at the Chandigarh International Airport have been changed

The Chandigarh International Airport does not have adequate facilities to allow the flights to take off or land at the night hours, and keeping that in mind the last operational flight at the airport will take off at 3:30 PM. The first to land at the International Airport of Chandigarh will be the Air India Delhi flight at 6:55 AM however; this flight will be completely discontinued by 15th of December.

There is a new flight from Chandigarh to Bangkok and will start operations on 11th of December. The Bangkok flight along with two other international ones for Dubai and Sharjah will see no change in their timings. There is no change in timings for any of Vistara, SpiceJet and Air Asia flights operating from the Chandigarh International Airport while the final schedule for Jet Airways is yet to be finalised.

While most of the flights have been rescheduled, some have been totally cancelled from the Chandigarh International Airport

Most of the flight operators like GoAir, Air India, and Indigo have already announced the change in schedule of their flights but a total of three flights will be totally cancelled from the Chandigarh International Airport keeping the weather in consideration. These include a newly operated flight to Kullu which was launched just a month ago and another Air India flight from New Delhi which started on the 30th of October.

There are chances that a few other flights operational on the Chandigarh International Airport may also be cancelled till the final revised list is released by CHIAL. These changes might cause great inconvenience to Chandigarh air travellers as the runway work was already in progress at the city’s airport in Mohali and the operations had been totally called off for Sundays.
