Mini Cruise @ Sukhna Lake | Know Ticket Price, Timings & Other Details

One of the most beautiful place of the beautiful city Chandigarh, Sukhna Lake has got something new & it is a Mini cruise ship. People can now actually celebrate in the middle of Sukhna lake by enjoying a ride on the mini cruise. CITCO (Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Ltd) has introduced a solar powered mini- cruise ship in Sukhna lake that will be available in the lake as per the boating timings. The initiative is taken by CITCO to increase the tourist attraction in the city.

Details of Mini Cruise at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh

Sukhna lake has been the most visited tourist place in the city. And to attract much more tourists, and give them something to entertain at lake premises, CITCO in associated with a private agency has introduced a mini cruise. Some interesting facts about the new cruise at Sukhna Lake

  • Mini cruise has a capacity to carry 25 people at a time.
  • As its a solar power ship, it promotes green initiative in the city beautiful.
  • It’s on trial basis for 4-5 months.
  • It will also be available for mini parties.
  • It is owned by a private company that runs similar boats in Bathinda.
  • Refreshments are also available on the mini cruise.

Although the initiative is on trial basis, but if it goes all well then CITCO has already planned to move ahead and put another mini cruise on the waters of Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh.

Mini Cruise price in Chandigarh

The solar mini cruise has been put on water in trial basis and the revenue are also on the sharing basis between CITCO and a private company that has been running an amusement park at Sukhna Lake. Keeping in mind, the revenue sharing, CITCO has kept the ride price of mini cruise a lil bit high.

Recently introduced mini cruise at Sukhna Lake will cost Rs. 300 per person for a ride of 30 minutes.

So if you are from Chandigarh or are planning to visit the beautiful city in sometime soon, do remember to take a ride in the newly launched mini cruise in Chandigarh.
