Petrol prices have been reduced as on 1st April, 2017. Here are the updated petrol rates in Chandigarh which have been compared with those of Panchkula in Haryana and Mohali in Punjab.
These prices are effective from 1st April 2017.
Current petrol price in Chandigarh = Rs. 67.94.
Current petrol price in Punjab (Mohali) = Rs. 73.15
Current petrol price in Haryana (Panchkula) = Rs. 67.14
There has been a decrease of Rs. 3.77 per litre in petrol prices. IOC (Indian Oil Corp) stated that the decrease in petrol rates was due to decreased price of international crude oil.
This has been after a long time that the petrol prices in India have been increased. Earlier, the prices were slashed for 4 times during the year 2016 and twice in 2017 so far.
